Abstract

School-Based Management is a management concept which offers autonomy to the school in making decision on the effort of involving the entire school management effectively and efficiently to improve the quality of education. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of School-Based Management (MBS ) at MIN hadiluwih,Sumberlawang 2013/2014 to improve the quality of education. This research used qualitative descriptive method with established single research strategy. This research was conducted at MIN hHadiluwih, Sumberlawang, Sragen. The research was conducted for 5 months, from November 2013 to March 2014. The data used in this study is an informant, places and events, as well as documents. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews and document analysis. The validity of the data is using triangulation data. However the data is analyzed by an interactive model that is divided in data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result of this study shows that the implementation 0f School / Madrasah Based Management at MIN Hadiluwih to improve the quality of education based on the Regulation No. 19 Year 2005 On National Education Standards in Chapter II Article 2 Paragraph ( 1 ) regarding eight educational standards. Based on these results, it can be concluded that: (1) Implementation of School-Based Management (MBS) at MIN Hadiluwih, Sumberlawang 2013/2014 include components, i.e. The content standards, the process standards, the graduates competency standards, the teachers and the staffs standards, the facilities and infrastructure standards, the management standards, the financing standards, the assesment standards. (2) The process of developing the school program of MBS at MIN Hadiluwih, Sumberlawang prioritizes an open communication and making a decision in deciding school policy. (3) The implementation of School-Based Management at MIN Hadiluwih, Sumberlawang, Sragen proves the influence on improving the quality of education, it can be seen from the input, process and output and accomplishments.
