Syamsul Huda Rohmadi, M.Ag Keywords: Reading Skills, Strategies, Triggers and Supporting Factors Reading is an activity carried out to find various information contained in writing. By reading, you will have broader insight and knowledge. Reading skills are very necessary in the learning process in the classroom, because reading is a language skill that can be developed so that knowledge and insight can be obtained. Learning to read in class II MI Al Islam Dibal has not been maximized because of the lack of student interest in reading, besides that there are also internal and external factors that affect the low reading ability in class II MI Al Islam Dibal. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that trigger reading difficulties, resulting in low reading skills of students, as well as to find appropriate solutions and strategies to support the reading skills of second grade students at MI Al Islam Dibal, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency, for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The subjects of this study were second grade teachers and second grade students of MI Al Islam Dibal, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency and the informants of this study were the head of MI Al Islam Dibal, Ngemplak, Boyolali. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity technique uses source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis in this study uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that with the supporting factors for reading skills and choosing the right strategy to support reading learning carried out in class II MI Al Islam Dibal Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency, the research findings obtained are that students are more active and conducive when learning in In the classroom, students' reading skills are quite developed, the factors that trigger students' reading difficulties can gradually be overcome with the support and motivation as well as cooperation between teachers and students' parents, the teacher delivers the material according to the lesson plan accompanied by using creative learning models and media, and the teacher begins to implement interesting strategies in each lesson in order to increase the spirit of learning in class II students of MI Al Islam Dibal, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency.
