Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction on employee performance with work motivation as intervening variables. The object studied in this research is PT. PLN area (Persero) Surakarta. This type of research is quantitative. Population in this researchis all permanent employees of PT. PLN (Persero) area of Surakarta. The sample in this study sebanayak 50 respondents using convencen sampling method. The results showed that emotional intelligence has a positive effect on work motivation, while job satisfaction has no effect on work motivation. While the results of research through sobel tast emotional intelligence variables directly affect the performance of employees and no effect through the mediation variables. While job satisfaction variable have direct and indirect effect to employee performance through mediation. Keywords: emotional intelligence, job satisfaction, ape motivation and employee performance
