Abstract

This research was conducted to determine (1) management of education strategy of 'Aisyiyah in Wonosari Klaten in 2017, (2) obstacles and solutions of implementation of management of education strategy of 'Aisyiyah in Wonosari Klaten in 2017. This research approach used qualitative descriptive research. Setting of this research was conducted at the Head Office Branch of 'Aisyiyah Wonosari, from June to August 2017. Subject of this research was Chairman of Aisyiyah Wonosari. Meanwhile, informants were Chief of Education, Secretary and Members of Branch Head of Aisyiyah Wonosari. Methods of data collection used observation, interview and document. Data analysis technique used data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion with interactive analysis model. The validity of the data used source and method triangulation. The result of the research reveals that; 1) formulation stage, implementation of formulation and evaluation. Formulation, formulated at Branch Deliberations is held every five years. Its contents include program strategies and functional strategies. Strategy of the program is conducted by holding the practice of ritual hajj, drumb band, and artwork for learners. Functional strategy making the rules of managers and educational providers in 'Aisyiyah Wonosari, has an equivalent qualification of Bachelor Degree (S1). Implementation of the formulation, through the organizational structure of one Chairman, six Chiefs of Fields and Supporting Bodies of Leaders, through leadership with authoritarian model, democracy, and kolegial, through cultural culture by always shake hands while holding a meeting and through the award for the achievers. Evaluation / supervision of the program by monthly Plenary Meeting, Branch Leadership every two years, and Wonosari Branch Consultation every five years; 2) Obstacles identified from within the organization in the form of facilities and infrastructure buildings that are less representative, the members are not maximally in running program of decision result, little finance from donors. Solutions are to cooperate with State Electricity Company (PLN), to have coordination of work program to avoid overlapping, to synergize between the coordinators and the under institutions (school as a field to conduct education management of ‘Aisyah), to involve the coordinators and the holders in any workshops and trainings, and to add some donors. Obstacle from outside is low community response in responding to the program offered by 'Aisyiyah. Its solution is persuasive approach directly and indirectly through community leaders and religious leaders. Keywords: management, education strategy, 'Aisyiyah
