Abstract

Catur Nugroho, 2017, Implementation of token economic method in the implementation of tahfidz program at MI Muhammadiyah Sraten Gatak Sukoharjo Academic Year 2016/2017, Thesis Department of Islamic Education Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training IAIN Surakarta. Advisor : Dr. Saiful Islam, M.Ag Keywords : Token Economic Method, Tahfidz Program Problem in this research is still lack of motivation or motivation of student to memorize al-Qur'an at MI Muhammadiyah Sraten. Therefore the school seeks to provide a container for improving the recitation of Qur'an students through the application of the Token Economic method in tahfidz program. This study aims to determine the Application of Token Economic Method in the implementation of Tahfidz program at MI Muhammadiyah Sraten Gatak Sukoharjo Academic Year 2016/2017. This research is a qualitative descriptive research conducted from April 2017 until August 2017 at MI Muhammadiyah Sraten, Gatak, Sukoharjo. The subject of this research is the teacher of tahfidz and the students of MI Muhammadiyah Sraten Gatak Sukoharjo, the informant of this research is the head of madrasah and the parents / guardian of Muhammadiyah Sraten Gatak Sukoharjo. Data collection techniques used are, interviews, observation and documentation. Inspection of data validity by using technique of continuous observation and triangulation ie triangulation method and source. The collected data were analyzed by interactive model, including: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Token Economic method in the implementation of Tahfidz program in MI Muhammadiyah Sraten Gatak Sukoharjo there are 3 stages: 1) Preparatory stage that is determining the targeted activities, determining objects (stars) are made into pieces, preparing the gift, giving value or price each activity or targeted behavior with chips, determine the rules of the number of pieces of stars collected to be exchanged for rewards. 2) Implementation stage is to convey the target rules of memorization of students who are able to memorize a letter or every 10 verses get 1 star and multiples, Students deposit rote and every student who is able to meet the target of getting a star. Stars can be redeemed with prizes provided in accordance with the number of stars they have. 3) Evaluation stage Since the existence of reward in the form of star pieces that can be exchanged with the gift is able to grow the spirit of the students in menghafalka al-Qur'an.
