State Islamic Institute of Surakarta.Advisor : ArinaRohmatika, S.Pd.,M.Pd Keywords : Project Based Learning, Teach Integrated Reading and Writing The objective of this research are: (1) to describe the implementation of Project Based Learning method to teach integrated reading and writing at the tenth grade accounting program of SMK N 3 Sukoharjo. (2) to know the problems faced by the teacher in implementing Project Based Learning method at the tenth grade accounting program of SMK N 3 Sukoharjo.(3) to know how the teacher solve the problems in implementing Project Based Learning method at the tenth grade accounting program of SMK N 3 Sukoharjo. In conducting the research, the researcher applied descriptive qualitative research as the research design. The data and data sources were informant, events, and document. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation, interview, and document. The data were analyzed by reduction, display data, and drawing conclusion. The researcher used triangulation method, to show the trustworthiness of the data. By using descriptive qualitative research design the researcher became the main instruments.The result of this research shows (1) the implementation of Project Based Learning to teach reading. Based on the data observation and interview which were done by the researcher, Project Based Learning method to teach reading involves 3 stages, they were: a) selecting topic b) making plans and doing research c) sharing result with others. (2) the problems faced by the teacher in implementing Project Based Learning method were difficult to control the activities, classroom management, less of media (3) the teacher solve problemsin implementing Project Based Learning method were to create an effective and efficiently learning process that is provide exercises to students.
