Abstract

This research was conducted to find out 1) Management of school committee's empowerment 2) Obstacles experienced in management of school committee's empowerment 3) Solution from obstacles experienced in empowering school committees in strengthening school quality in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Cetan Kecamatan Ceper Klaten 2017 / 2018. This research approach uses qualitative descriptive research. The research was conducted at MI Muhammadiyah Cetan, Ceper Klaten Subdistrict, in January to March 2018. The research subjects were Head of Madrasah. Chairman informants and school committee officials. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation. Data validity techniques use source triaggulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive methods, data collection, data presentation, data reduction and conclusion. The results of the research reveal 1) Management of school committee empowerment in strengthening the quality of school in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Cetan Kecamatan Ceper Klaten 2017/2018 academic year which are: a) establishment of committee committee, annual working meeting, and assignment of school committee. b) provide information to the public through the media of notice boards and oral submissions in the forum. c) implementation since the management is established until the end of the current period. d) Evaluation is done twice on the program and after the stewardship period is complete. 2) Obstacles in the management of the school committee's empowerment are: a) lack of knowledge of Madrasah Principals on the tasks and functions of the school committee. b) lack of socialization to the general public. c) not all the committee programs can be run in accordance with the plan. d) not all programs have been evaluated. 3) The solution of the barriers that occur is divided into four things, namely: a) cooperation on the board of Muhammadiyah Regional Board of Muhammadiyah b) optimize the role of school committee as a community relationship to disseminate information. c) segregation of school committee work program to be implemented optimally. d) evaluate each committee's program in regular monthly meetings.
