Abstract

Characteristics of Ubaidilah, M.Pd.I Keywords: Physical Motor Development, Based on Local Wisdom The background of this research is to find out the physical motoric development of early childhood based on local wisdom. Until now the efforts of gross motor physical development in early childhood still require various methods and stimuli. In the implementation of motor physical development, not all teacher's stimulation of their students goes according to expectations. There are several obstacles that cause the stimulation process not to run smoothly and affect the child's motor development process. These obstacles include physical control through coordinated activities of nerve centers, nerves, and muscles. In addition to these obstacles, there are also factors that inhibit children's physical motor development. As for these obstacles, among others, activities carried out tend to be monotonous, lack of creation of a safe environment for children, inadequate materials and equipment. The use of the joint method of batik geblek and dancing nodding dance is a method that can improve the gross motoric abilities of early childhood. Through this method trained children can be able to coordinate between the hands, feet, head and muscles of the child, train the flexibility of children, train the child's balance and agility. Through observations of the gross physical motor development of children by using these methods, children can perform games that involve physically and regularly and skillfully using the right and left hands and the use of feet. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted in June-August 2018 at TK ABA Diponegaran, Bumirejo, Lendah, Kulon Progo, D.I Yogyakarta. The subjects in this study were teachers in Group B and students of class B TK ABA Diponegaran. While the informant is the head of the ABA Diponegaran Kindergarten School. Data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. To find out the validity of the data, source and method / technique triangulation techniques are used. Then the data were analyzed using analysis of interaction models with three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of research on early childhood physical motor development based on local wisdom in TK ABA Diponegaran Lendah in class A in the implementation of storytelling through 3 stages, namely (1) the preparation step of the teacher to plan the learning process by preparing RPPH first. (2) The second step is the core activity, in the core activities the delivery of stories is delivered in a coherent way through the steps of making batik and dancing. (3) Evaluation, the evaluation used in ABA Diponegaran Lendah Kindergarten is to use a checklist model by giving a mark (√) to each column of each child that is adjusted to the level of each child's development.
