Abstract

School organization particularly is formed with the main focus to achieve more specific objectives, namely in achieving educational goals, both educational goals of the school itself and the national education goals. In achieving the goals of education in schools need effective leadership, teachers who have a good performance. Charisma, authority and responsibilities, and loved by his/her followers, are the characteristics which have been owned by leader to stimulate the people he/she leads has the full attention and always be the inspiration and motivator in moving components of the organization is a leadership that is the hope of school organization, that is what so called as transformational leadership. The aim of education in schools is also shaped by the factor of how much teachers feel satisfied with the work performed which is indicated by not only income generating or salary, comfort conditions, promotions and career development, and also fair appraisal. The existence of Elementary School (SD) Amaliah is one of the oldest private elementary schools and renowned in Bogor Regency, West Java Province. SD Amaliah has many achievements both academic and non-academic in the leveel of the sub-district, district, province and even national. SD Amaliah under the management of the Islamic Development Study Center Foundation Amaliyah Indonesia (YPSPIAI). The school is led by a leader called the school principal with 23 teachers and schools have been accredited with National Institutions with a good score. The role of the principal and its function are important in improving the school to achieve organizational and academic goals. In achieving these objectives is also required satisfaction of teachers as facilitators of learning that will determine success in achieving the desired results. This study formulates to solve the problem if there a positive effect of transformational leadership and job satisfaction on teacher performance?. To answer this question researchers conducted the study with quatitative approach and using multiple regression analysis. This study utilized questionnaire as an instrument for data collection. The research found that (1) the transformational leadership is partially not significantly affect performance, (2) a partial job satisfaction significantly affects performance, and (3) the leadership work and job satisfaction simultaneously significant in affecting performance. Based on the findings, some of the suggestions put forward are (1) The success of the organization's goals will be achieved if the school has a teacher's performance. The performance shown by pedagogic competence, professional competence, social competence and personal competence. (2) in achieving organizational goals of school leadership has a role in improving performance. But the leadership will not take place with efektive if not supported by the stakeholders, especially teachers. (3) the vision, mission, and goals of the organization will be achieved with job satisfaction felt by the teacher so the teacher will have high performance. This high performance will be achieved if teachers are satisfied with the support of effective school leadership. Key word: Transformational Leadership;JobSatisfaction;Performance
