Abstract

This study aims to gain an understanding of empirical data on the relationship of the principal supervisory and professional competence of teachers, either individually or jointly with the performance of Islamic junior high school teacher in the district Ciawi. The study hypothesis is that (1) There is a strong and significant influence supervision of the school principal's performance against Islamic junior high school teacher in the district Ciawi (2) There is a strong and significant influence professional competence of teachers against the performance of islamic junior high school teachers in the district Ciawi . In this paper the authors used survey method with correlation approach implemented in SMP Amaliah, Mubina Fathan SMP, SMP and SMP Raudhatul Jannah YPPI by involving teachers. The data collection is done by observation, questionnaires, and documentary studies. Data analysis using product moment correlation technique. Hypothesis testing results are as follows: First, there is a positive relationship between supervision and being the principal to teacher performance. because the results of hypothesis testing showed that the scores obtained by the Pearson correlation coefficient correlation (ry1) is 0.278. The magnitude of the effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R2 (R square) = 0.093, which means that supervision of the principal influence on the performance of teachers. Simple regression analysis showed regression equation y = 93.055 + 0,278X1, which was significant at alpha level of 0.05.Secondly, there is a positive relationship and being among the professional competence of teachers with teacher performance. Because the results of hypothesis testing showed that the correlation coefficient Pearson correlation (ry2) is 0.600. The magnitude of the effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R2 (R square) = 0.389, which means that the professional competence of teachers influence on teacher performance of 38.9%. Simple regression analysis showed regression equation y = 50,788+ 0,600X2, which was significant at alpha level of 0.05.Third, there is a positive relationship between supervision and being the principal and the professional competence of teachers with teacher performance. Because multiple correlation coefficient (Ry1.2.) Is 0.657. The magnitude of the effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R2 (R square) = 0.431, which means that supervision of school principals and professional competence of teachers together to give effect to the performance of teachers by 43.1%. Noting the results of multiple regression analysis showed regression equation y = 32.725 + 0,190X1 + 0,567X2, which was significant at alpha level of 0.05.
