Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of: 1) Emotional intelligence to the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at Elementary School partially. 2) Work motivation to the the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at Elementary School partially.3) Kepercayaan diri to the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at Elementary School partially. 4) Emotional intelligence, motivation, and self-confidence to the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at the Elementary School simultaneously. This research used quantitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted at the Department of Education on Wonogiri in November-December 2014. The research population were of Islamic Education Teachers at the Elementary School in Wonogiri District. The number of research population was 151 people. The research sample was 110 people. The sampling was proportional random sampling. Data was collected with questionnaire. The questionnaire was validated with the product moment formula. The reliability was tested with Cronbach alpha formula. Data was analyzed with multiple regression analysis techniques. The results of the research concludes that: 1) There is an effect of emotional intelligence to the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at the Elementary School (t = 5.48; significance = 0.000), 2) There is an effect of work motivation to the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at the Elementary School (t = 4.97; significance = 0.000), 3) There is the effect of self-confidence to the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at the Elementary School (t = 5.24; significance = 0.000), and 4) There is jointly influence of emotional intelligence, motivation, and self-confidence to the professionalism of Islamic Education Teachers at the Elementary School in Wonogiri District in 2014 (calculated F = 38.861; significance = 0.000). The results of the regression equation obtained Ŷ = -18.571 + 0.639 x1 + 0.544 x2+ 0.335 x3. Keywords: emotional intelligence, motivation, self-confidence, professionalism.
