Abstract

This study aims to gain an understanding of empirical data on the relationship patterns of parenting and discipline of study, either individually or jointly with Student Achievement In Islamic Education Subject SMP Amaliah Ciawi. The study hypothesis is that (1) There is the influence of a strong and significant parenting parents on student achievement in the subject of Islamic religious education junior Amaliah Ciawi (2) There is the influence of a strong and significant discipline of study on student achievement in the subject of Religious Education SMP Islam Amaliah Ciawi. The research was conducted in SMP Amaliah by involving students, the authors use survey method with correlation approach. The data collection is done by observation, questionnaire and documentary study. Data analysis using product moment correlation technique. Hypothesis testing results are as follows: First, there is a moderate positive relationship between parenting and parents with student achievement in the subject of Islamic Education. because the results of hypothesis testing showed that the scores obtained by the Pearson correlation coefficient correlation (ry1) is 0,367. The magnitude of the effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R2 (R square) = 0.135, which means that the parents' parenting influence on student achievement in the subject of Islamic education at 13.5%. Simple regression analysis showed regression equation (unstandardized coefficients B) y = 69.220 + 0,075X1, which was significant at alpha level of 0.05. Secondly, there is a strong and positive relationship between the discipline of learning with student achievement in the subject of Islamic Education. Because the results of hypothesis testing showed that the correlation coefficient Pearson correlation (ry2) is 0.508. The magnitude of the effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R2 (R square) = 0.258, which means that the discipline of learning give effect to the achievement student of 25.8%. Simple regression analysis showed regression equation (unstandardized coefficients B) y = 66.427 + 0,096X2, which was significant at alpha level of 0.05. Third, there is a positive relationship between parenting and being a parent and the discipline of learning with student achievement in the subject of Islamic Education. Because multiple correlation coefficient (Ry1.2.) Was 0,568. The magnitude of the effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R2 (R square) = 0.322. Noting the results of multiple regression analysis showed regression equation (unstandardized coefficients B) y = 61.874 + 0,053X1 + 0,085X2, which was significant at alpha level of 0.05. These findings are expected to contribute positively to the parents in improving parenting and enhance the learning discipline their children.
