Abstract
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of transformasional leadership on employee performance by mediating employee empowerment. The sample used is probability sampling with a simple random samplingtechnique as many as 120 nurse respondents ar Nirmala Suri Sukoharjo Hospital. The data in tjis study were analyzed with the help of IBM SPSS version 23. This study use quantutative research methods using a questionnaire as data collection material. The data analysis method use multiple linear regression analysis using t statistic test as a hypothesis test and sobel test as a mediation test. The result of this study prove that transformasional leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, employee empowerment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, transformasional leadership has positive and significant effect on employee empowerment, and employee empowerment mediates the relationship between transformasional leadership and employee performance. The findings of this study indicate that employee performance can be enhanced by transformasional leadership and employee empowerment. Therefor, it can be concluded that nurses who accept transformasional leadership style and employee empowerment will improve nurse performance.
