Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study are to determine : the implementation of school-based management, supporting factors and obstacles in the implementation of school-based management, and efforts are being made to improve the implementation of school-based management in Bustanul Athfal Aisyiyah Kradenan 3 and Roudlotul Athfal Masithoh Sajen, Trucuk, Klaten. This research is descriptive qualitative research located in Bustanul Athfal Aisyiyah Kradenan 3 and Roudhotul Athfal Masithoh Sajen, Trucuk, Klaten. Time implementation of this research was in August until December 2013. The subjects of this research were principals, teachers and school committes. Informants supporting research included: parents guardians, and the community around Bustanul Athfal Aisyiyah Kradenan 3 and Roudhotul Athfal Masithoh Sajen, Trucuk, Klaten. The colecting data used interviews, observations, documents. Data validity checking techniques used was triangulation techniques both sources and methods. Data analysis technique used is interactive descriptive technique. This study shows the differences in the measures taken to implement the School-Based Management. Bustanul Athfal Aisyiyah Kradenan 3 Trucuk, Klaten uses four strategic management components, namely : (1) Analysis of the potential and profile education units to identify strengths and weaknesses, (2) environmental analysis to identify opportunities and threats in implementing educational services; (3) Establish the vision and mission based on the analysis of the potential and the environment as (4 ) Establish the necessary strategies to improve school performance. Roudhotul Athfal Masithoh Sajen Trucuk, Klaten h identifies the factors that drive the implementation of the School-Based Management. Things that become the supporting the successful implementation of school-based management are strategis of location, near the district city and their parents who care with education. Things that become the inhibiting the successful implementation of school-based management are they are parents who do not care about education, lack of knowledge about management and there are still people who do not want to care about education. The Efforts to improve the implementation of school-based management in Bustanul Aisyiyah Kradenan 3 is by carrying out administrative management. While in Roudhotul Athfal Masithoh Sajen Trucuk, Klaten it is carried out by the implementation of school-based management with a maximum focus to performance management. .
