Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to determine the role of Islamic education supervisory in improving the competency of Islamic education teachers at the vocational school in Karanganyar. This research used descriptive qualitative method, that is a method for systematically describing the situation and gather information about the current situation. The subjects in this study were supervisor and Islamic education teachers in Karanganyar amount of 42 teachers. Data was collected with interview, observation and documentation. Based on the analysis of the study, it is concluded that, in the field of academics, supervisor do construction and guidance until the Islamic education teachers at the vocational schools in Karanganyar do their works in discipline; preparing teaching administration, doing good plan of teaching, semester programs, annual program, remedies, teaching agenda, student attendance list, register values, and syllabus; planning blueprints for midterms and semester test; and designing teaching material in power point. In the field of managerial, supervisor gives guidance to do the construction of Islamic education teachers to deliver good teaching material and easily understood by learners; accomodating condusive teaching processes, and running Islamic education board of teachers until now.
