Abstract

Key words : This study focuses in teaching writing descriptive text at the seventh grade students of Mts Negeri Ngemplak Boyolali. This study is aimed at describing the process of teaching descriptive text. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this study is the English teacher and the seventh grade students of MTs Negeri Ngemplak Boyolali. The methods of collecting data are observation, interview and document analysis. In analyzing data, the researcher uses interactive model, namely, data reduction, data display and verification of data. Based on the research finding, from the first until the fourth observations in the teaching learning process of writing descriptive text the teacher used scientific method and strategi collaborative writing. In the teaching learning process of writing descriptive text the teacher implement the collaborative writing using peer-assisted writing activity and peer feedback activity. The teacher brings another material which is suitable with the topic. The teacher used multiple media every teaching
