Abstract

Abstract There is shifting the paradigm in teaching and learning from Teacher Centered (focused on the teacher) to Student Centered (focused on the student). The use of enjoyable learning model (the active, creative and effective Learning) is appreciated. Therefore the knowledge owned by the teacher can be transferred and understood well by the students. To obtain the expected target in Learning process, the efforts can be applied by the teacher are, Giving attention, understanding the Learning material and choosing the proper Learning method. The aims of this study are (1) to describe and analyze that the application of collaborative Learning Problem Based Collaborative Learning is able to increase the students’ participation in Applied Linguistics class of PBI IAIN Surakarta, (2) to describe and analyze that the application of collaborative Learning Problem Based Collaborative Learning is able to increase the students’ achievement in Applied Linguistics class of PBI IAIN Surakarta. (3) to describe and analyze the respond of the students (in Applied Linguistics class of PBI IAIN Surakarta) toward the economy lesson along the teacher use the application of collaborative Learning Problem Based Collaborative Learning
