Abstract

A deliberate sight claiming a futile result of English teaching-learning in Indonesia successively from SLTP to SMU has been frequently emerged by many scholars. The failure is basically a consequence of a far cry financial allotment that entails trivially treatments to overall teaching learning process, resulted by among others, incompetence teachers, short meeting frequency, a big class, the textbook, a rigid curriculum, and limited facilities. Attempts to improve the drawbacks have been made by government. Improvements, so far, shed from the substantial needs, e.g. curriculum and textbook revision, up grading teachers, and physical development, however; that, the expected better results remain far cry. This article is for all intents to view the trivial teaching-learning treatments, focusing on the future macro plan.
