Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem statements in this research are (1) How management of learning development in using learning media of Al Quran study is; (2) What difficulties faced in implementing learning development in using learning media of Al Quran study are; (3) What solutions applied in implementing learning development in using learning media of Al Quran study at MIM Muhammadiyah Puluhan Trucuk Klaten of 2017/2018 are. This research was qualitative research conducted at MIM Puluhan Trucuk Klaten from September to October 2017. Subjects of this research were teachers of Al Quran study, while informants were the Headmaster, Deputy Chief of curriculum, some teachers, and some students. Technique of collecting data used documentation, interview and observation. Data validity applied triangulation of source. Data were analyzed by using interactive model of Milles, and Huberman. The results of this research reveal that (1) generally, management of learning development in using learning media of Al Quran study has been implemented well. i.e. (a) The learning is delivered by the teacher, (b) The use of classical method, (c) The use of simple learning media, (d) flexible with students condition as the learner, (e) guidance for talented and potential students, (f) based on the school purposes; vision and mission of school. (2) The difficulties are (a) implementation of talent guidance has not been done regularly, (b) lack of talent guidance teacher, (c) some students are playing while learning, (d) ignorance motivation by the students, (e) lack of some students who cannot read the Quran well, (f) lack of some students who have not mastered tajwid laws yet, (g) lack of some students who have not mastered intonations, (h) the students who are easily influenced by the others. (3) Solutions done by the school are (a) repairing on learning media, (b) training for teachers, but it has not been maximum yet, (c) motivating the students, (d) providing an extra time to learn Iqro in the break time and suggesting the students to join TPA (Educational Quran Program) surrounding them.
