Abstract

NUR FATIMAH OKTAVIANI, NIM: 131211010. Public Relations. Application Marketing Communication Mix Of The Village Government In Improving Tourist Visit At Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah, Polanharjo, Klaten. A thesis, Study Communication And Broadcasting Islamic, Faculty Of Islamic Theology And Da’wah. State Islamic Institute Of Surakarta 2017 This thesis aims to find out the strategies undertaken by the manager and the village government in improving tourist visits in Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah. The number of attractions in the city of Klaten especially in Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah resulted in competition between these attractions with other. In Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah visitor are invited to play outbound and preserve tranditional games. Therefore the authors are interested to examine how marketing communication mix undertaken by managers and village governments in increasing tourist visit. The research qualitative research using descriptive method. Descriptive method namely do direct research intensively, observation, describing and in-depth interview, explain and according to the fact in the field. Researchers in digging information conducted in-depth interviews with manager Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah and village goverment Sidowayah. The study aims to determine the implementation of marketing communication mix conducted by manager Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah. The result of this research is the increase of an inceasing of tourist visit in Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah. Implementation of marketing communication mix conducted by village goverment and manager Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah is advertising, direct marketing, public relations and publications, word of mouth marketing, and personal selling. In marketing tourism, advertising that is used is to distribute brochures pamphlets and banner. Direct marketing is done is the existence of direct communication with potential customers to create understanding. Public relations and publications that are done is the news through the newspaper, participate enliven carnaval, do publications through social media. Word of mouth marketing is done by manager, village government and the citizens synergize each other to promote Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah to the community. Then personal sales are done that is the percentage to schools, institutions or agencies and enliven the exhibition. Manager and villages governments are always trying to maximize marketing communications mix for the Kampung Dolanan Sidowayah progress.
