Abstract

This research aims at gaining information of 1) cooperative learning trategy of STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions), 2) obstacles in cooperative learning strategy of STAD, 3) solutions in cooperative learning trategy of STAD of Fiqh subject for 8th grades students at SMP IT Al Ma‟ruf Mranggen Demak in 2017/2018. This research used qualitative approach conducted at SMP IT Al Ma‟ruf Mranggen Demak from November to December 2017. Subject of this research was cooperative learning strategy of STAD . Informants were Fiqh teacher, Principal, Vice Principal, and 8th grades students. Technique of collecting data used observation, interview, and documentation. Technique of data validity used riangulation of source and method. Data analysis used interactive model encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this research show that 1) Management of cooperative earning strategy of STAD consists of three main parts; Planning of STAD earning is by arranging learning strategy plan, Implementation of STAD learning has been run well based on guidance content of learning strategy implementation, .e. content, time, media, learning purpose, material display, group classification, quiz, scoring, reward; and Evaluation of STAD learning reveals that there is tudents‟ interest on the application of cooperative learning strategy of STAD, 2) Obstacles of Cooperative Learning Strategy of STAD are low preparation, carefulness in making quiz question, low attention in conditioning time and class, competition among the groups, dominancy of smart students, more attention given by the teacher for active group than passive group, 3) Solutions of Cooperative Learning Strategy of STAD are Principal‟s support, fixed preparation, teacher‟s carefulness in making quiz questions, teacher‟s ability in conditioning class, and also the use of time effectively and efficiently.
