Abstract

The background of this research is the improvement of the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) into Curriculum 2013 which tries to improve assessment standard. This research aims at determining: 1) implementation of authentic assessment instrument of curriculum 2013, 2) the results of authentic assessment instrument of curriculum 2013, 3) the factors supporting and inhibiting authentic assessment at SMP Negeri 4 Klaten in Islamic education. This research was qualitative research conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Klaten from April to June 2017. Subject of the research was Islamic Education teacher of the 8th grade. Informants of this research were the headmaster, deputy chief of curriculum affairs, deputy chief of infrastructure affairs, and deputy chief of public relation. Technique of collecting data used observation, interview, and documentation. Technique of data validity used triangulation of source and method. Technique of data analysis used interactive model encompassing data reduction, data display and conclusion or verification. The conclusions of this research are (1) implementation of authentic assessment at SMP N 4 Klaten have not been implementing optimally yet because its application does not use assessment instrument of each assessment technique. It only uses assessment list prepared by school in its application. (2) The results in authentic assessment are all students have reached KKM, i.e. 75 for knowledge and skill competency, and B for (good) for attitude competency. There will be a remedy if it does not fill KKM. (3) Supporting factors of authentic assessment at SMP N 4 Klaten are the teachers have joined workshop, the cooperation among teachers, and infrastructure. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors are lack of infrastructure, especially for 8th grades and assessment sheet that is not completed with assessment instrument.
