Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know the model of character educationmanagement, student vandalism behavior, analyze the cause of student vandalismbehavior and analyze the solution taken by Muhammedyah Muhammadiyah 10 Wedi Klaten in dealing with student vandalism behavior. This research approach uses qualitative descriptive research. Theresearch was conducted in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah 10 WediKlaten on 12 September to 24 November 2017. The subjects in this study were thestudents of class VIII. Informants are Head of Madrasah, BK teachers, students,parents, students and community leaders. Data collection techniques usedobservation, interview and documentation. Techniques of data validity, source triangulation and methods. Interactive model data analysis techniques use datacollection, data presentation, data reduction and conclusion.The results of vandalism case studies indicate that: 1) the approach to delivery of character education there are four, namely: a) Model as a separatesubject. b) The integrated model in all subjects, namely in conveying charactereducation is conveyed in an integrated manner in every subject area. c) Model outside teaching. d) Combined model, is to combine the integrated model andmodel outside the lesson together. Of the four management delivery models of character education mentioned above, the most ideal is the Combined model. 2) There are streaks on the wall of the yard, class walls, tables, chairs, toilet doors,wall toilets and gate walls by students using X-tip, markers, bolpoint and pilok. 2) The factors causing student vandalism behavior: (a) peers; because the location of the madrassas close to the market and their frequent gathering, so they are easily influenced by peers. (b) the Family; lack of affection and the attention of parentscauses students to make vandalism as an escape. (c) mass media; students do vandalism because of the impact of movies and video games; (d) Community environment: indifferent attitudes from the community cause student vandalism to be discontinued. 3) The solution pursued by Management of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah 10 Wedi Klaten in addressing the case of student vandalism is Given the notion that the act of vandalism is an act of social deviation, and the impact caused damage to beauty, given punishment and given acontainer to channel the student's talent is drawing.
