Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims at describing: (1) correlation between Islamic Education learning and Islamic Education academic achievement of the students, (2) correlation between learning motivation and Islamic Education academic achievement of the students, (3) significant correlation of Islamic Education learning and learning motivation simultaneously on Islamic Education academic achievement of the students at SMAN Gondangrejo Karangfanyar in 2017/2018. This research was a co-relational quantitative conducted at SMA N Gondangrejo Karanganyar from July 2017 until December 2017. Population in this research was all 12th grades students consisted of 249 students. Sample was taken by technique of sampling random reaching sample of 152 students. Method of collecting data used questionnaire and documentation. Trial test of validity used product moment person correlation formula with robserved was higher or similar with ttable of 0.159, so the item was valid X1 from 20 points which was declared valid and X2 from 45 points, 40 points are valid. Then, reliability test by using formula of Cronbach’s Alphadari, variabel X1 and X2 were reliable. Technique of data analysis used test of normality of Chi Square and linearity. Test of hypothesis used multiple correlations. The results of this research show that: (1) there is correlation between Islamic Education learning and Islamic Education academic achievement among the students. By applying correlation of product moment, it reaches value of rX1Y of 0,343 showing a positive correlation, (2) there is correlation between learning motivation and Islamic Education academic achievement among the students. By using correlation of product moment, it reaches value of rX2Y of 0,323. This indicates that rX2Y is higher than r tabel; 0,195 showing a positive correlation, (3) there is correlation of Islamic Education learning and learning motivation simultaneously on Islamic Education academic achievement among the students by using multiple correlation. It reaches value R of 0.423 which is higher than individual correlation value indicating positive correlation among the students.
