Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims at determining (1) Management of BTQ learning for 5thgrades students at SD Muhammadiyah and SDN Buntalan Klaten in 2016/2017, (2) Obstacles in BTQ learning, (3) Solutions to overcome the obstacles. This field research applied qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Tonggolan and SDN Buntalan Klaten in August until September 2017. Subject of this research was BTQ teacher of 5thgrades students. Informants of this research were Principal and students of 5thgrades. Technique of collecting data used interview, documentation, and direct observation. Technique of analyzing data used interactive model. The results of this research show that (1)(A). Management of BTQ learning at SD Muhammadiyah begins with planning and creating administration guided by the principal. Implementation of this learning is conducted by greeting, and memorizing short letters of Quran. Evaluation of BTQ learning is by determing some aspects; cognitive, affective, physcomotoric, and making evaluation technique.(B). Meanwhile, Management of BTQ learning at SDN Buntalan starts with planning and creating administration associated with other teachers guided by the principal. Evaluation of BTQ learning is also done by arranging instrument of scoring and evaluating frequency. (2) Difficulty in learning BTQ at SD Muhammadiyah is students’ boredom due to longer learning hours. Meanwhile, difficulty at SD N Buntalan is limited time to study BTQ (only 35 minutes). Not all students can read the Quran. (3) Solution offered by SD Muhammadiyah Tonggolan is teaching children songs (Bayati, Nahawan, Ros and Hijaz), while solution for SDN Buntalan is adding learning hours by holding BTQ extracurricular activity and cooperating with TPA (Quran Education) surround the school near students’ place.
