Abstract

FirstAdvidsor : Dr. H Giyoto M.Hum The Key Word : The Teaching Strategies of Mastering Speaking of Tenth Grade in ICT Class This research paper entitled aA Descriptive Study Of Teaching Strategies Of Mastering Speaking Skill Of The Tenth Grade ICT Class SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Karanganyar 2016/2017 Academic Year. The subject of this study is the teacher strategies to use teach speaking and the objective of the study is tenth grade ICT class SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Karanganyar 2017/2018 academic year. The research design of this study’s Descriptive Qualitative. The research conducted from June 2017. By using Qualitative method the researcher identifies and describes the teaching strategies used to teach speaking of tenth grade in ICT class SMA Muhammdiyah 01 Karanganyar. The subject of the research tenth grade ICT class SMA Muhammdiyah 01 Karanganyar 2017/2018 academic year. There were 40 students consisting the technique to collect data observation and interview. The result of the research showed that how teacher strategies to use teach speaking for tenth grade ict class SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Karanganyar 2017/2018 academic year the teacher used third strategy to teach speaking in ICT class. The teacher used learning from movie, Jigsaw technique and learning from native speaker. The reasons teacher used third strategies because those strategies made students actively participate in the class. Make students good in utterance and understand about western culture by learning from movie. They could share the knowledge ideas or opinion in discussion session or in group work with their partner group by using jigsaw technique. They also learned to speak Englsh more in performance activity by some native speaker make a conversation, could make them confident when they should speak English.
