Abstract

ABSTRACT Salma Safitri Daelani. 2017. Advisor : Muntaha, S.S, M.Pd Key word : Descriptive Study, Implementation, Edmodo Application, Writing Class This research aims at describing the Implementation of Edmodo Application in writing class at first semester students of English Education Department in 2017/2018 Academic Year. It was conducted to know the implementation of Edmodo application, problems faced by the teacher in implementation of Edmodo application, and solutions to solve the problems during implementing Edmodo application in writing class. The researcher got the data for this research from event, information, and document. The techniques of collecting the data were observation, interview and documentation in teacher’s Edmodo and students’ Edmodo. For technique of analyzing the data were data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion: drawing and verification. For the trustworthiness of the data the researcher used methodological triangulation. The result of the analysis shows that the Implementation of Edmodo application in writing class at first semester students of English Education Department brought benefits for students. The steps of used Edmodo application in writing class were preparation, teaching learning process and evaluation. The steps that teacher did in teaching learning process using Edmodo application were introduction, delivering materials, assignment on Edmodo application and feedback. Problems faced by teacher and students implementing the Edmodo application were registration when students created new account, when students difficult to know the different between submission and post, when students not preview the content of assignment, Error system when students did quiz and low connection hamper students to open Edmodo application. Solutions to solve problems by the teacher in implementation of Edmodo application in writing class were: evaluation in the class, checking the content of assigment by the teacher and used of WIFI in the campus for got a high connection.
