Abstract

The asymmetry of opinion is not always contrasted, included in it about the concept of Educational Management according to Moslem to Progressivism. This research is aimed to explain the concept of Educational Management according to Progressivism and Moslem either the similarity or difference. This research uses the approach of qualitative description. This kind of research is library research. The obtained data is from two sources, as premier data Al Qur’an and John Dewey’s work as Progressivism Figure while secondary data is as literature or books concerning with this topic. The method of data collecting is documentation. The techniques of data analyzing are data collecting, data reducing, data serving and conclusion.The results of this research show that: (1) Progressivism point becomes the educational point which appreciates creativity and freedom belongs to every educational manager. Manager must be able to grow and develop influenced by the experience, physical, intellectual or the continual moral. By placing the experience a part of education, so every educational movement is as a step to determine the future generation’s destiny. (2) Management in Muslim view is as an educational management labeling Muslim that has, of course, the own characteristic. (3) The educational management conceptually has not the difference between Progressivism and Moslem, as leading activity, managing and aiming the time, room, personal, power, fund and effective and efficient facilities in interacting on the education activity theoretically and practically in order to achieve the educational goal. The difference is seen on the own view toward curriculum management, educational management, educator management, students management, environmental management, and learning management.
