Hum Key Words : Thirty Words, Memorization Technique, Mutu English Club This research paper entitled One Day Thirty Word Memorization Technique in The Mutu English Club (MEC) SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar in The Academic Year of 2016/ 2017. The propose of this research was to describe the implementation of one day thirty word memorization technique in the Mutu English Club at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar in the academic year of 2016/2017. Besides the research also describe about the strength and the weakness of the students‟ memorizing thirty words a day in the Mutu English Club (MEC) SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar in the academic year of 2016/2017. This is a descriptive qualitative design. The research was conducted from June until July 2017. The subject of this research was English teacher in the Mutu English Club class at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar named Mr. Tri Harjanto. The students were another subject of this research. The researcher choose students in class B. The techniques to collect data are interview, observation, and documentation. The result of the research showed that: First, in the implementation of one day thirty word memorization technique in the Mutu English Club at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar in the academic year 2016/2017, the teacher used memorization technique, Grammar Translation Method(GTM) are drilling and repetition. The media used by the teacher in teaching learning one day thirty word memorization technique in Mutu English Club (MEC) SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar are real thing, music, video, and LCD. The evaluate used by the teacher in the teaching learning process are close book, daily test, and direct test. Second, the strength of the students‟ memorizing thirty words a day are 1) The students can talk with foreigners; 2) The students did English exam questions easily; 3) The students knew the meaning of English songs and movies. The students‟ weakness in memorizing thirty words a day is forgetting.
